By Mike Dolpies

Before we get going, let”s touch on the idea of “Content Marketing” for any Martial Arts business owner or fitness business pro who is not familiar with it.

This is not the “wiki” definition – this is my definition …

Diamonds

Content Marketing is the process of staying in touch with and engaging your prospects, clients, students, and community with content. Content is everything you do – the “intellectual property” you teach at your school, the tips you provide for dealing with bullies in an elementary classroom, self-defense seminars, ideas for getting in shape, and so on.

Think about it …

Marketing Your Martial Arts Business with Facebook Ads – Part 1 – Mike Dolpies

By Mike Dolpies

describe the imageConfused about Facebook Ads? You’re not the only one. I wrote this article to help clear up the confusion for Martial Arts business owners looking to promote their programs and increase their likes on Facebook.

Back in 2010, I began using Facebook Ads to get “Likes” on one of my Facebook Business Pages. They were called “Fan Pages” back then.

I went in determined to get results, but as a direct marketing student and practitioner, I also knew I wouldn’t keep doing it if it didn’t work. google_hangout_iconIn Part 3 of this Google+ Business Blueprint series, I spoke briefly about Google+ Hangouts. Hangouts are group video chats that can be used for interacting face to face with your customers, employees and business partners. Here are four specific ideas for Hangouts:

Q+A sessions with customers – allow your customers to pose questions to a human face. This will enhance consumer trust in a brand as they know they aren’t receiving an automated reply.

Competitions – set up a competition in which you pose a question during a Hangout. You could drive a huge amount of traffic onto your page at once.

Employee meetings – one default business page circle is ‘team members’. By ensuring all your team members are part of this circle, you can use Hangouts for meetings.

Client meetings – many businesses already use Hangouts to connect with clients and hold face-to-face meetings without being in the same room. By setting these up through a company profile instead of a personal profile, the process becomes more professional.
