Steven Pinado
Chief Executive Officer: Meet Steve Pinado. CEO, Coach, Dad, Husband, Leader. Even with all these roles and goals on his plate, Steve never misses a beat. Bringing loads of energy and insight to the table, Steve is responsible for Member Solutions’ overall executive management, its strategic growth initiatives, as well as its marketing programs. When he’s not in the office, you’ll find Steve meeting with prospects to understand their needs or traveling across North America to consult with clients or participate in industry events.
But the drive doesn’t stop there. In his spare time, Steve coaches youth sports and plays on a men’s lacrosse team called the “Old Dogs.” His previous career experiences include leadership roles in payment processing, credit cards, investment banking, and information technology. A graduate of Morehouse College, Steve earned his MBA from Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.

  • Steve’s wife of 17 years and three children keep him balanced and aware of what is truly important in life.
  • Steve has over 20 years of experience in technology-enabled financial services.
  • He has served in corporate strategy, business development, product planning, and financial roles at Electronic Data Systems, Advanta, Salomon Brothers, NextCard and PepsiCo.
  • He serves on the board of directors of Tiger-Rock Martial Arts International, NHS Pop Warner Football, and CBAA Lightning Lacrosse.
Best part of the job: Steve loves teaching and coaching and enjoys nothing more than when team members perform so well that they exceed their own expectations. He truly enjoys and is interested in the details of payment systems and their future role in our society.
Joseph Galea
President: The man who started it all. With determination and some programming help from his dad, Joe founded Professional Payment Systems (PPS), which merged with Automated Payment Services (APS) to form Member Solutions in January 2005. Leading PPS from its inception, Joe built that company into a leading provider of billing services for the Martial Arts industry. With overall responsibility for sales efforts, Joe continues to drive the growth of Member Solutions. In addition, Joe is passionate about helping clients achieve success though personal contact, coordination of the Advisory Team, and overall consulting support.
But building businesses isn’t all he does. Joe is devoted to his family, and they make the most of their New Hampshire location by skiing, snowmobiling, boating and biking. He is also a hockey fanatic. When he is not on the ice himself, he is supporting his beloved Rangers. Joe is a graduate of the City University of New York's Baruch College.

  • He works hard to understand the needs and challenges of our clients, speaking with roughly 100 each month.
  • Joe’s close-knit extended family has him on the road a lot and brings many visitors to Lake Winnipesauke, but he would not have it any other way.

Dina Engel
Chief Operating Officer: The woman behind the curtain. You may not see Dina, but take comfort in knowing she’s there. Dina was the co-founder of APS, which merged with PPS to form Member Solutions in 2005. She’s the driving, steady force behind the scene. Curious about how to run a Jiu Jitsu studio or a fitness facility? Need to know the best way to structure and charge for a membership contract? Go ask Dina. She has spent her entire career serving membership-based businesses.
Even at an early age, Dina knew she was a true go-getter and multi-tasker. She started her first business at the age of 12 creating and selling custom buttons of current bands and teen heartthrobs. And as a kid, she loved to juggle while riding her skateboard. Now she juggles — quite effectively — the many responsibilities of being COO, ensuring the quality of service delivery while overseeing Customer and Client Services, Billing Operations and Account Management. Add spending quality time with her loved ones which include her two dogs, "rocking out" on her drums, and staying fit with her disciplined early morning workouts, and Dina takes juggling to a new level.
When she’s not in the office, you’ll find her smiling, laughing, following her beloved Phillies and in the summertime skim boarding and playing ball at the beach. Dina is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University.

  • Dina demands that her team be as fully committed as she is.

Lakshmi Venkataswamy
Chief Information Officer: Lakshmi Venkataswamy loves gadgets – anything he can take apart to figure out how it works. What he also loves is solving challenges in the most productive, cost-effective way. That’s what makes him the ideal CIO. Responsible for all of Member Solutions’ Information Technology activities, Lakshmi brings over 20 years of experience to the team. He has extensive experience with the financial services industry and has led applications development, technology strategy and infrastructure teams for public and private corporations. When he isn’t in the office, you might find Lakshmi “up in the air”— literally. He is a certified pilot and enjoys the adventure of flying. Lakshmi earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Regional Engineering College in Trichy, India and earned his MBA from Drexel University.
Clients should take comfort in knowing:
  • Lakshmi has held the most senior technology roles in public financial services organizations.
  • He has a solid understanding of and expertise in business process engineering, enabling him to leverage technology as a tool to effectively address business needs.
  • He brings over 20 years of experience to the team.
